In honor of All of the amazing people that make Pingree so special and who have gotten me to where I am today, there are too many to list!

We all know that the best parts of high school usually happen outside the standard textbook. Whether it's the thrill of a Friday night field hockey game, the focus required for an art project , or the camaraderie of a club, these are the moments that actually shaped who I became as an adult. Pingree created a very memorable experience for me.

What a great education I got at Pingree. Very prepared for Georgetown in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. Mrs. Steinert, Mr Davis, Mr Johnson, Monsieur LeFlemme….the list goes on!

Reflecting on my time at Pingee always brings Steve Carey to mind. He was a wonderful teacher, coach, and college counselor, and I will always be grateful for the support he gave me and so many others.

This year I’m donating in honor of my mother, Julie Bishop, who adored Pingree and believed deeply in the power of education. She made sure Pingree wasn’t just our school but our community — showing up at countless games, befriending fellow parents who became lifelong friends, hosting pre-semi picture parties, and dropping us off late most mornings (a tradition we proudly carried on once we could drive ourselves). We have so many wonderful memories of her at Pingree.

My time at Pingree truly helped shape the person I would become!

Pingree has truly changed my life, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing community. It introduced me to field hockey and I fell in love with this sport, ultimately deciding to pursue it in college at the University of Michigan. Along the way, I formed friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I also had the opportunity to participate in the Barcelona exchange, where I met one of my closest friends, who remains important to me to this day. The opportunities Pingree provided were endless, and I will always feel fortunate for that experience.

Go Class of 2002, Go!

I’ve been enrolled in 13 different schools in my life — of all of them, Pingree stands as the best, most supportive environment for not only learning but development of a lasting moral compass

Have the courage is to try something new even though you’re afraid of failing.

My 25 year love affair with Pingree continues. It started as a parent of potential students (3) in 2001. Then I was invited onto the Board, into the chemistry lab, onto the Advisory Board of P@P, and onto the Committee on Trustees. Today I have the privilege of coaching some of the finest young men on the planet, using the language of lacrosse to communicate with each other about things much bigger than the game.

I loved every minute in June Jeswald’s dance studio and am so grateful she was my teacher. She led me towards a life filled with the performing arts!

Pingree changed the course of my life. I’m grateful to be a part of the community.

Pingree’s American Cultural Studies class and Art History class put me on the path towards pursuing a career in the museum field, which has resulted in me recently being named Chief of Staff at a Smithsonian Affiliate museum in the region. I am so grateful to Pingree’s History department for fostering a supportive and engaging environment, it truly changed my life.
